Our Story

Easter Weekend

"My fiance proposed on Easter weekend. We took a trip along the beautiful South African garden route. In Knysna, we stopped for an impromtu oyster tour of Knysna Bay. We were the only two guests of the tour which made it extra special. We enjoyed a glass of wine and soaked in the breathtaking views. When it was time to shuck our oysters, I found the ring inside and looked up to him on one knee." - Ashley

Wedding Details

When & Where

Our ceremony and reception will be held at D'Aria Wine Estate, situated in the heart of the Durbanville Wine Route. The ceremony will be held in the Poplar forest, where you can listen to the soft sounds of the wind while we promise our eternal love to each other. Following the ceremony, we'll gather in the Main Hall for an intimate get-together and celebration.

"It is unquestionable now that God had plans for us when he brought Ashley 14,000 km from home to meet her soulmate. Nothing worth having comes easy. We have to seize the opportunities God places in our paths to reap the blessings he has in store for us."

— Jason

How They Met

A shared passion for the outdoors brought Ashley and Jason together to meet on a hiking trip shortly after Ashley moved to South Africa. They've been inseparable since, spending almost every weekend enjoying the beautiful scenery offered by the Western Cape.
